A little expensive to get the original equipment replacement filter but well worth it, if for no other reason than peace of mind. These fit well and do not leak. Imitation products such as Tier 1 filters leak half the time and I'd rather not come home to puddles of water in the fridge or worse. Pay the few extra bucks.

I purchased a less expensive one of these 6 months ago for just $27 but it was obviously a knock-off. I was unhappy with it, as it left little bits of filter settling at the bottom of every glass of water. I don't think that is the best form of fiber in my diet. I then purchased this more expensive one after following a link from the LG web site. Boy, what a difference! Each glass of water is nice and clear with zero stuff suspended in the water. I highly recommend it. Don't be fooled by the fake ones.

For years I was using generic water filters that seemed to only work for about 2 months before the water tasted gross. I was convinced that there was something wrong with my refrigerator, so I had a tech come out to look at my fridge. He couldn't find anything wrong but said often times the value (cheap) filters aren't made with quality materials and start to get a bad taste after a short time. Sure enough, I switched to brand name filters and my fridge water continues to taste great even after 6 months.

If you have a LG refrigerator, use the LG water filters. I purchased from a third party and had leaking and interior condensation issues. Once I purchased the correct LG filter...not a single issue. Are they more expensive...yes...but totally worth it!

This is the second time I've ordered this product. It is an authentic LG filter and is super easy to install. Follow the directions and run 2.5 gallons of water through the filter before drinking water and it will taste great!

This was very easy to install and wow, I didn't know just how restricted the old filter had become until I put in this new one. It's rated to 200 gallons, and since we are retired and home a lot, it doesn't take long to hit that mark. I'm bad about replacing filters due to inconvenient placement in the fridge, but in this case it's so easy, I'll order the next one ahead of our need.

It fits. It filters. It's available, and Home Depot doesn't actually carry them in store for the fridge we bought there. So they lose, Amazon wins. AGAIN. Seriously, you just can't beat Amazon. Also - these BRAND NAME ones are the only ones which have both levels of filtration recommended for safer drinking water (filtering out cysts, bacteria, etc.) The cheaper ones don't have #53, only #47 -- so these are the only ones I'll buy for my fridge and family!

wife and I have an LG LFX31925SB refrigerator and needed to replace the water filter. This was an OEM replacement for the old filter. Removing the old filter and replacing it with the new one was very easy as the door holding the filter pops off and the old filer comes out with little effort and replaced by the new one. As with most filters we use in all our everyday products, it's good to replace this regularly for optimal performance. I would definitely recommend this filter to keep the color and taste of your water and ice where it should be.

Best filter I have used. Tried s couple of after market filters and they water always taisted like you were drinking from a garden hose. Using the LG filter the water taste very clean. Definitely worth the cost. Won't use anything else.

The price is a bit higher than off-brand but to me, the money savings of going with an off-brand isn't worth it. Some things are just worth paying extra for!!! As long as you follow the manufacturer's instructions for priming the filter and stick to the recommended interval for the water filter change then your good!

This is an original LG water filter! I was skeptical about the price, but pleasantly surprised when it showed up that it is exactly like the filter I was replacing! We bought an LG refrigerator last year and I've paid much more than this for a replacement filter in the past. Definitely a great buy for the money!

This filter was very easy to install. It made a huge difference in the taste of my water. Previously, I had bought a cheaper filter, but I don’t think it filtered as well based on taste. I do think this filter is over priced, but will continue to use it if it produces cleaner water.

I have an LG refrigerator, so there wasn’t an option for choice. I think the taste is off, so won’t drink the water and only use the ice for cola since the cola helps cover the taste. It might not be the filter though, since when I tried ice cube trays, there was the same off taste on those cubes. I’m thinking it’s the LG refrigerator itself. Have cleaned it totally inside since we purchased the refrigerator new and it doesn’t help. Will be going back to GE after this refrigerator dies.

Read the reviews from other customers that talk about harmful and not harmful ingredients in a refrigerator water filter. I found the reading very useful which is why I purchased this particular filter. I can rest assured that it is doing what it needs to and we are not drinking anything harmful in our water. I recommend this filter even though there are less expensive ones on the market for the reasons already stated. I will buy this again.

Official LT OEM product, certified both NSF 42 and NSF 53. Every third party product I looked at only claimed NSF 42, and some only claim materials used met NSF42 standards. I needed new filter for the fridge, this was the best price I found for single cartridge at the time I ordered it. What else can I say, it's hard to get too excited about required replacement media.

This one is a true genuine filter. I first bought from eBay a filter listed as genuine but got a fake (you can actually see typos on the box). Since then, I made sure I bought genuine ones sold by Amazon. I also tried the Home Depot brand but they only lasted a few months. I still prefer the taste with the OEM filter, and it lasts longer.

These that I received are the real deal. I had worried that these may have been a knockoff like many other vendors sell. When I read other reviews about these and their comments, I took a gamble and won. These are the real deal but at a great price.

I stupidly purchased a highly rated off-brand filter and that proved to be a huge mistake. Just pay the extra for the real LG filter and forget about it; water that tastes like its supposed to.

Glad to be able to get the original filter. Other companies sell cheaper compatible filters, but they are actually not certified for both NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 53. The substitute filters are only certified to standard 42, and not 53. The 53 Certification tests for removal of toxins like Arsenic and a number of others.

I was due for a filter replacement and I bought the same exact one I bought last time. Strangely enough, the filters look slightly different, this one being smaller. It still fits and works perfect with no water leakage. Prior to replacing it, I've noticed the water started tasting strange. After replacing it with this filter, the water tastes good again and the water flow from the refrigerator spout is stronger. It used to be so slow. I guess a bad filter can do that. I'm glad I paid the extra for the original LG filters...seems to be worth it to me.
